Breakfast & dining

7:30 – 10:30 am

Breakfast is included and served in the courtyard from 7:30 to 10:30 am. Choose from the breakfast menu the evening before, or just come down and we will cook what is fresh.

Lunch and dinner are cooked to order. Please order by 12:30 pm and 7 pm so we can shop for the day. We happily adjust spice levels.

Check-out

Check-out by 11 am

Check-out is at 11 am. Leave the key at the courtyard desk or with anyone from the family.

Late check-out until 2 pm is free when the room is not booked that day. Ask us the evening before. We can store luggage for the day and arrange a taxi to the airport or station.

House rules

  1. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am; the courtyard carries sound.
  2. No smoking inside the rooms. The roof terrace is fine.
  3. Visitors are welcome in the courtyard until 9 pm.
  4. Please lock your room and keep valuables in the cupboard safe.
  5. Filtered drinking water is free; please refill your bottles rather than buying plastic.
  6. Shoes off inside the main house, as in any Kerala home.

Auto-rickshaws (tuk-tuks) wait at the end of the lane. Agree the fare before you get in, or ask us to call Shaji, our regular driver. Uber and Ola work for longer trips.

Good to know

Is tap water safe to drink?

No. Use the filtered water in the courtyard dispenser or ask for bottles. Brushing teeth with tap water is fine.

Is there hot water?

Yes, all day. Switch on the geyser in the bathroom ten minutes before you shower.

Do you accept cards?

Yes, cards and UPI. See the Pay section. Cash is fine too.

Can I get an early breakfast?

For early flights we pack breakfast the night before. Tell us by 8 pm.

Where can I buy a SIM card?

The Airtel shop on Princess Street, five minutes away. Carry your passport and a photo.
